Hyderabad: No poor family will face trouble due to demolition of illegal buildings in FTL and Buffer Zone. water bodies Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday said the matter was being taken up by Hydra. The government has issued the allotment orders 2 BHK 100 units will be provided to people affected by the Musi Riverfront project and other water bodies within the Outer Ring Road limits.
“Eligible poor families should not be left on the streets. They should be allotted a double bedroom house or given some other rehabilitation option. Collect details of all eligible poor living in Musi FTL and buffer zone, and other ponds and canals within ORR. Ensure that all eligible poor are rehabilitated.
Also, it is the responsibility of the authorities to preserve and protect the lakes, ponds and water bodies within the ORR as their protection is essential to avoid huge losses due to natural disasters,” the CM said at a review meeting on Musi Riverfront and Hyderabad Metro Rail Extension Project at his residence-cum-camp office in Jubilee Hills.

CMO sources said Revanth also directed officials to allot 16,000 2BHK units to families displaced due to the Musi project. District collectors of Rangareddy, Hyderabad and Medchal Malkajgiri should form teams and go door-to-door from Wednesday to inform people about the locations of the allotted 2BHK units.
First, 16,000 houses built in the river bed will be demolished and people living there will be evicted. However, people holding pattas in the buffer zone will be treated differently and will be given compensation package and rehabilitation as per the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement (Telangana Amendment) Act, which will depend on the structure value, land value of the house site and also the 2BHK house.
The encroachers will be allotted only 2BHK houses as they are not entitled to compensation.
The CM clarified that strict monitoring should be done to prevent encroachment on ponds and canals. Under this, CCTV cameras should be installed on all the ponds in the city and they should be connected to the Police Central Command Control Center.
All ponds, lakes and canals within the ORR and FTL and buffer zones should be identified and marked. “Collect details of encroachment on every pond and canal within the ORR. Prepare a complete report regarding these,” he said.
