Revenue Minister Krishna Byregowda on Friday said the e-khata system, already implemented in 12 districts, will now be implemented in the entire state in October. “The digitized account is called e-Svathu in rural areas and e-Aasthi in urban areas. People should complete it as soon as possible so that the transaction of their property can be done easily,” he said.
To facilitate this transition, the Revenue Department has digitalized property records in all 31 districts. These coordinates will serve as unique identifiers for each asset, enabling faceless and contactless online delivery of e-Khata services.
In a related development, the government is speeding up approving applications for regularizing the Bagar Hukum land parcels, with 160 committees formed to address 9.8 lakh applications. The target is to dispose of all applications within eight months.
Additionally, the ongoing exercise of seeding Aadhaar with RTC (Records of Rights, Tenancy and Crops) has linked 81.8% of the 4.9 crore land parcels with Aadhaar, of which 61 lakh have been converted for non-agriculture and 4.8 Lakh parcels belong to deceased owners.
