New Delhi: Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has pushed back the deadline for final payment Installment for over 1,800 premium flats in Dwarka 19B, which were sold through e-auction last year. The new deadline to pay the remaining 25% of the total price is October 31 instead of September 28.
The authority said the decision was taken after considering the buyers’ request for more time to manage their finances and the ongoing finishing work in the flats.
“In the light of several representations from the allottees of flats in Tower A to K, additional time is requested to complete their payments and some additional days to finalize the finishing work before handing over the physical possession of the flats. The need being considered, the competent authority has decided to extend the payment deadline.
The new deadline for payment without interest has been extended till October 31, the authority said in a circular on Tuesday.
Buyers have expressed dissatisfaction as various necessary arrangements, such as providing electricity and water connections, setting up the main entrance, installing security staff and developing recreation areas, are not yet completed.
In other news, DDA received an encouraging response to the e-auction of 10 flats and penthouses out of 173 flats offered under it. Dwarka Housing Scheme On Tuesday. All ten flats were sold. “Tuesday’s bidding included one penthouse, three super high-income group (HIG) flats and six HIG flats. These were sold well above the reserve price,” an official said.
On Wednesday, DDA offered 17 flats in the e-auction – 12 HIG and five MIG. “All were sold well above the base price,” the official said.
