Quoting Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the statement said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has implemented this PM Awas YojanaFocusing on the goal of Antyodaya. Under this, permanent houses are being built and handed over to homeless families. The Housing Development Authority in Uttarakhand has played an important role in achieving this goal.”
Uttarakhand Housing Development Council is also preparing 15 projects with the help of private investors, which will include a total of 12,856 houses. Additionally, 3,104 houses are being developed by various development authorities.
According to Additional Housing Commissioner PC Dumka, 1760 houses have been handed over to the beneficiaries through private participation and 14635 houses have been allotted. All remaining projects are targeted to be completed by March 2025, the statement said.
“Under this scheme, private investors build houses with amenities like two rooms, a kitchen and a toilet at a cost of Rs 6 lakh, of which Rs 3.5 lakh is provided through various central and state government schemes. This allows beneficiaries to get a home through an easy loan of Rs 2.5 lakh. Homeless families with an annual income of less than Rs 3 lakh are covered under this scheme. are eligible for of Uttarakhand before June 15, 2015,” the statement said.
Among MDDA projects, 224 flats in Transport Nagar and 240 flats in Tarla Aamwala have been completed, another 240 flats in Dhaulas will be ready by March 2025.
According to the statement, MDDA Vice Chairman Banshidhar Tiwari assured that the beneficiaries for these projects were selected in a transparent manner and all eligible persons will get their flats on time.
