Model houses have been completed in 410 development blocks and are under construction in another 144, an official said.
The official further said that against the target of constructing 2.57 lakh houses from 2018-19 to 2023-24, work on 2.52 lakh houses has been completed and 3,929 houses are under construction.
Of these, 47,795 houses were allotted to the families of Musahar tribe, 4,838 to Vantangiya, 3,233 to Tharu, 29,923 to Kol, 6,979 to Sahariya, 5,367 to Chero, 1,584 to Baiga, 2,220 to Nat, 63 to Pachaiyya Lohar, 155 to Pachaiyya Lohar. Gadhaiya blacksmith and 175 Boxa tribe families.
Additionally, 5,021 houses were allotted to families affected by leprosy, 78,101 by natural disasters, 249 by Kala-azar, 674 by JE and AES and 71,056 by Divyang families.
“In 2024-25, out of 94,294 allotted houses, about 21,000 have been approved. In 2023-24, the Divyang category was included in the priority category for Chief Minister Housing, with 75% of the allotted houses given to them. Had gone,” the officer said.
