The state government has launched Sugam Vidyut (Facilitation) Scheme, 2024 for this purpose. Energy Minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar said that this scheme made to solve the problems of the residents of these colonies will remain effective for two years. As per the provisions of the scheme, consumers eligible to avail benefits under the scheme include new applicants who are residents of decluttered, undeclared illegal colonies and colonies which are not registered with RERA, and who desire to have necessary electrical infrastructure. As per the provisions of the scheme, applicants or groups of applicants have to make an advance payment of at least 25% of the amount specified along with the application.
