Housing Minister lauds States and UTs for role in successful implementation of PMAY

New Delhi: Union Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal Khattar Said on Monday that states and union territories have played an important role in the successful implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY,

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs said in a statement that the minister highlighted PMAY-U 2.0 Plan, its impact on the economy and allied sectors, creation of estimated employment opportunities of more than three crore people.

He stressed on effective implementation and accountable governance of PMAY-U 2.0 so that the benefits reach the last mile and have a positive impact on every eligible family.

Khattar said that housing is of utmost importance for everyone.

“Everyone has a dream to have their own house and your own house brings a lot of happiness in your life. The Prime Minister brought PMAY scheme for the people to realize their dream of having a pucca house. I am very proud of this visionary scheme. I salute the Prime Minister.” To change people’s lives,” the statement quoted him as saying at the programme.

Appreciating the efforts of the States and Union Territories, the Minister said that they have played a vital role in the successful implementation of PMAY-U. He said that their tireless efforts are also required in the implementation of PMAY-U 2.0.
