Property registrations in Pune fell 33% to 11,056 units in September

New Delhi: Registration of Properties Pune According to Knight Frank, sales declined by 33 percent to 11,056 units last month due to the inauspicious Shraddha period. 16,604 properties were registered in Pune during September 2023.

“In September 2024, Pune recorded 11,056 property sale registrations, a decline of 33% compared to the same period last year.” Knight Frank India said in a statement on Saturday.

Stamp duty collection in September this year stood at Rs 508 crore.

“The decline in home registrations in September 2024 is largely due to the inauspicious Shraddha period, which lasts for 12 days, during which people generally avoid large purchases or high-value transactions. In 2023, Shraddha will be from September 29 to 14. Was celebrated till October.” The advisor said.

During the January-September period this year, 1,38,412 properties were registered in Pune, up 29 per cent from 1,07,627 units in the same period last year.

Stamp duty collections from these registrations stood at Rs 5,253 crore during the first nine months of 2024, showing a year-on-year (YoY) growth of 38 per cent.
