representative imageNew Delhi: Over 1,200 LIG and 440 EWS flats sold DDAAffordable housing and middle class housing schemes, an official statement said on Saturday. It said that out of 183 LIG flats of the scheme in Ramgarh, 153 flats were sold. Whereas 708 LIG flats were sold in Rohini and about 250 flats were booked in Narela.
In the EWS segment, around 300 flats were sold in Narela and all 139 flats offered in Loknayakpuram were also booked.
The scheme has received an impressive response from the first day of booking on September 10 and all the HIG flats offered in Jasola were sold out on the very first day, the statement said.
The latest to join the bandwagon were flats in Dwarka, where a penthouse, three Super HIGs, 18 HIGs and a balanced list of most MIGs were sold in the bid. The demand can be gauged from the fact that for 169 flats, around 2,000 people deposited EMD and after several rounds of bidding, the flats were sold well above the reserve price.
The housing schemes were launched under the guidance of Delhi LG Vinay Kumar Saxena, who is personally leading and monitoring the schemes, the statement said.
It said this remarkable success can be attributed to DDA’s commitment to provide quality housing at affordable prices along with strategic development plans.
DDA is developing greenery around the housing areas to improve the quality of life of the buyers. Moreover, additional finishing touches are being given to the housing blocks to add value.
Besides this, DDA is in touch with the local bodies to ensure cleanliness of the area. It said that these efforts demonstrate DDA’s dedication to not only provide affordable housing but also to create a sustainable and thriving community for its residents.
For the ease of buyers, uninterrupted information is being provided to them. The statement said that the property documents are being given in a folder containing all the relevant documents.
DDA launched its three housing schemes in August 2024 – Affordable Home and Middle Class Housing Schemes and Dwarka Housing Scheme for different categories of flats for various locations like Dwarka, Jasola, Narela, Rohini, Loknayakpuram, Ramgarh and Sirsapur, it said. .
While buyers can book flats on a first-come-first-served (FCFS) basis for the first two schemes, flats in the Dwarka Housing Scheme were sold through e-auction. It said that the Dwarka Housing Scheme has been closed while the first come first serve scheme is still operational.
It says that all the flats are freehold properties and are ready to move-in. For the convenience of buyers, sample flats are also available so that buyers can take an informed decision.
