After a long gap, ADA has started a housing scheme of 600 plots in Sohawal area. Located on the Lucknow-Ayodhya National Highway, the size of the plots ranges between 387 sq ft and 2,152 sq ft suitable for economically backward, low income, middle income and high income categories.

A senior official in the department said, “One must keep in mind that the vacant plots in the three cities under the Housing Development Council are located in places where residential colonies have already developed. The greenfield colony in Ayodhya has also been given a lot of space. Getting feedback.” ,
The reserved rates kept for the financial year 2024-25 of plots within Housing Development Council colonies in Gonda, Barabanki and Bahraich are also low in comparison.
ADA VC Ashwini Kumar Pandey said, “We were receiving a lot of inquiries for Vashishtha Kunj scheme as many people from across the country want to settle in Ayodhya after retirement. The reserve rates have been calculated as per the prescribed formula.” The state government said interested buyers can register and apply for plots till January 8. Since private companies are offering plots in Ayodhya at huge premium, those waiting for government housing schemes are expected to turn up in large numbers.
