Gurugram: The district town planner (DTP) launched a two-day sealing drive Illegals targeted in South City 2 and Sector 49, Uppal Southend commercial activities On residential plots. On October 15, three properties, including two guesthouses and a basement gym, were sealed in the operation.
The next day, a similar operation in South City-I and Greenwood City led to the sealing of two more guesthouses and an unauthorized structure.
The issue of encroachment in Uppal Southend was also resolved based on the complaint of CM Window.
“Commercial activities on residential plots violate zoning rules and disturb the neighbourhood. We received several complaints from residents regarding illegal operation of several guesthouses and gyms. Our team along with cops from Sector 40 and 50 police stations sealed the Took strict action against these properties,” said DTP Manish Yadav.
Rakesh Malhotra, a resident of South City 2, said, “These guesthouses bring a lot of outside traffic, noise and safety issues. We are happy to see that action is being taken after so many complaints.”
Hinting that more sealing drives would be carried out in the coming weeks, a DTCP official said, “Misuse of residential areas for commercial purposes has been a growing problem in licensed colonies. We are committed to enforcing the rules and ensuring that We are committed to ensuring that such violations are addressed immediately.” ,
