Chennai unveils over 3,200 new houses amid development initiative


Chennai: Chief Minister mk stalin Virtually inaugurated 3,268 tenements on Tuesday Tamil Nadu Urban Housing Development Board (TNUHDB). These houses have been built at a cost of Rs 426 crore in cities across the state.

These houses are located at 12 locations, including five in Chennai, two each in Coimbatore and Erode and one each in Kanyakumari, Thanjavur and Trichy.

Stalin also laid the foundation stone of six new projects CMDA At a cost of Rs 98 crore. The projects include revival of five lakes at Perumbakkam, Mudichur, Ayanambakkam, Velachery and Sikkanan. The sixth project is beautification of the area below Velachery Bridge for Rs 4.5 crore.

Stalin later inaugurated new buildings in government arts and science colleges, engineering colleges and universities constructed at a cost of Rs 156 crore.
