On Tuesday, the department sealed 469 properties in the Eastern Zone and 279 in the Southern Zone.
Notices were also issued to presidents of 147 societies in the South and Eastern regions, warning of immediate closure of water and sewer services if dues were not cleared.
The department has provided the list of defaulters to the presidents of 120 societies of the Eastern Zone and 27 of the Southern Zone. Society officials were ordered to inform their members to immediately pay the outstanding property tax or have their water and sewer connections shut off.
