Noida: The Stamp and Registration Department of GB Nagar District Administration organized registry camps in which a total of 77 buyers got their flats registered. Migson Ultimo Society In Omicron 3, Greater Noida And Eros Sampoornam Society In Sector 3 of Greater Noida West on Saturday. The department received a revenue of Rs 2.05 crore.
“At Migsan Ultimo Society, 30 home buyers got their flats registered, earning the department a revenue of over Rs 80 lakh. This is the second such camp organized here since March, when the project was given possession and completion certificate by GNIDA. The builder paid the dues. Home buyers here were waiting for the last four years to get the registration of their flats, said Assistant Inspector General of Registration, GB Nagar.
He said that since March, the department has issued 930 flat registries to buyers, while 270 were pending after Saturday’s camp. Migsan Ultimo Society has approximately 1,200 flats. This project was started in 2014.
Home buyers were assured of getting possession in 2019, but the process was delayed by a year. “We have been struggling to get our flats registered for the last four years and finally getting the registry documents feels quite emotional. It’s an early Diwali for home buyers.” said Ravindra Yadav, who bought a home in Migson Ultimo Society.
At Eros Sampoornam, 47 home buyers got their flats registered, earning the registry department a revenue of Rs 1.24 crore.
“Home buyers here were waiting for the registry of their flats for the last two years. Last month, the project got its OC and CC, after which a registry camp was organized here. The head of the UP government’s stamp and registration department Secretary, Leena Johri inspected the camps and handed over registry documents to some home buyers here,” Mishra said.
He said that out of 250 flats, registry of more than 150 flats is pending, while 100 others have got themselves registered.
The registry camps were organized following the recommendations of a panel headed by NITI Aayog member Amitabh Kant, under which the state government had directed the department to expedite registries of flats in projects where developers have acquired their properties under the rehabilitation package.
